The Appeal Court sitting in Enugu has declared Hon. Obinna Chidoka as the rightly elected House of Representatives member representing Idemili North and Idemili South federal constituency.

The court sacked All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA)’s candidate Ibezi Ifeanyichukwu, who was declared a winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) after the February 23 National Assembly election in the state.
In its ruling, the court ordered INEC to issue a Certificate of Return to Chidoka and withdraw that of the APGA candidate.

Obinna Chidoka, 45, is the younger brother of the former governorship candidate of Anambra State and former FRSC Boss Chief Osita Chidoka, also the former minister of aviation.

Obinna a sociology graduate of the University of Lagos, was the chairman of the House committee on environment and habitat in the 8th Assembly.
He was the youngest member of the House of Representatives in the 6th Assembly where he had his first stretch from June 2007-July 2008. Obinna’s victory has ignited celebrations on the streets of Anambra State, and social media, especially among his followers and supporters
