Fela was born on 15th October 1938. Fela had asked all the ladies in his band if they wanted to marry him, of which 27 of them agreed. Then on February 20, 1978, Fela called 12 traditional priests who presided over the wedding ceremony which took place at a hotel in Lagos. After the wedding, he took all his 27 wives to Ghana for their honeymoon.

However, in 1986, he divorced all of them with the claim that “Marriage brings jealousy and selfishness”.

Continue to Rest In Peace Fela! History will never forget you. You are a Prophet of generation to generation because all that you have prophesied is manifesting in our dear country Nigeria today.

No one on Earth today and tomorrow will ever match your footprint you left behind even your son’s Kuti, Seun and others have never attained to that.

Fela You are one in Billions. How I wish you are alive today to witness what is happening in Nigeria today.

Because Of your generosity and kindhearted, you married 27 wives at a day just because you want everyone around you to be happy both every creature.

RIP Fela!
